Cap Plans from Virgin Mobile

Virgin Mobile offers four cap plans. The cap value is the value of services you can use without being charged more. For $19 you can make $50 worth of calls and texts.  For $29, you can make $80 worth of calls and texts.  On the $49 Cap Plan, whether you use $49, $100, or $250 it still costs the same...$49.  If you use less, there is still a monthly minimum.  If you use more, you pay the difference. For example if you use $270 worth of calls/texts on the $49 plan, you would pay $69 because the first $250 was capped at $49 and then you spent another $20.

Virgin 2 Virgin rates apply for calls, texts, and pictures messages between Virgin Mobile customers. Calls are 5c/min, texts are 5c, and picture messages are 25c.  However if you choose to get Virgin 2 Virgin rates, the plans have a slightly lower cap: $40, $60, $180, $250 instead of $50, $80, $250, $350.

Services that you can use with the capped value are: domestic calls, text messages, and picture messages.  Some services are not part of the cap value: premium calls, international calls, premium text messages, and global roaming.
