Optus
offers four cap plans. Cap plans limit the amount that you spend on wireless
services. The more expensive the plan, the higher the limit. It's a great
deal if your wireless bills are high. But it's not always a better deal
because there is a monthly minimum charge. If you don't use it, you lose it. For
example, for $59 you can make up to $280 worth of calls and messaging.
For $79, you can use up to $500 worth of services.. Whether you use $79,
$200, or $500 it still costs the same...$79. If you use less, you still
pay $79. If you use more, you pay the difference. Therefore, if you use $250 worth of calls/texts on the $49 plan, you would pay $69
because the first $230 was capped at $49 and then you spent another $20. |
|
Unlike some other mobile networks, Optus does include international calls in the cap. However only
up to 50 minutes. |
|
Services that you can use with the
capped value are: domestic calls, text messages, picture messages, voicemail,
video calls and international calls. Services that are not part of the cap
value include premium calls and premium text messages.
